In my last posts, I offered a few suggestions on common and proven strategies for online revenue. Here are a few more general ideas and categories that you can explore:
Direct Sales/Network Marketing
Network marketing, or multi-level marketing, certainly isn’t for everyone, but it can be a fantastic source of supplemental income, with the opportunity of becoming a very lucrative full-time income.
The major benefits of network marketing are the minimal upfront investment and the opportunity for leveraged income in the form of override commissions on everything sold by the people you recruit to your business. I would caution you that multi-level marketing, or MLM, isn’t quite the independent income opportunity that it’s at times sold to be—you have to stay in the trenches and keep building and motivating your team in order to build anything substantial. Still, it may be the right opportunity for you.
When researching a company that fits with your objectives, determine if the company has a proven management team. What is the corporate experience? Has it built a billion-dollar organization? Are the products proven and are they affordable? What is the emotional context of the products? Do the distributors share the products because they love and enjoy using them? Is there a proven training system with a strong focus on down-line support and personal development? Is the compensation plan easily understood?
The anti-aging, wellness, travel and lifestyle industries are the future of the MLM industry. The anti-aging and wellness market is a $3.4 trillion industry and three times larger than the worldwide pharmaceutical industry. The booming lifestyle travel market is a $7.6 trillion industry, eclipsing both.
If anything, having a home-based business, such as MLM, allows you to set up a legal entity and take advantage of tax deductions.
Obviously, there are thousands of other ways to boost your income on the side. My goal here isn’t to give you some exhaustive list of ideas, but rather to simply give you enough to get your creative juices owing. I want to leave you with no excuses. In the history of the world, there has never been more opportunity than now. As the author Roy H. Williams says, “Opportunity never knocks. It hangs thick in the air all around you. You breathe it unthinking, and dissipate it with your sighs.”
Anyone in a developed country with determination can launch an entrepreneurial venture. You may not succeed right away, but if you stick with it, you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t. You can adjust with each new venture. You can make it happen. The only question is, how badly do you want it?
In my next post, I offer some advice on how to analyze income opportunities to make smart decisions about them.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear your thoughts on opportunities for online income – have you ever attempted this before? Do these ideas I’ve floated before you in the last two posts seem viable for you? Thank you for sharing.
